Redding riders visit CMB / 4 State ride trip
We had the Redding Mtn Biker club up last week. It was a fun ride starting with 24 riders. There were a couple that dropped off due to time - both going ahead and going back. The Chico riders got a reality check on how difficult (read as rocky) Upper Bidwell Park is to ride. Three of the Redding riders went down and had the marks and blood to prove it. One brave soul had a rigid bike - and he rode it very well! We went out middle trail, across the Butte Creek at the end of the road, up Green Gate and back on Guardian - Volunteer - South Rim. Good ride with some distance. Took us about 3 hours - for 20 riders a good time. Made a call to my ever loving wife while on the Guardian trail and she met us at the end with sodas and beers!! Great service if I do say so myself! Not much else going on other than getting ready to go back to Montana and will get some great rides in on the way there and back. McKenzie River Trail in Oregon, Mount St. Helens and Three Corner Rock in WA (65 switchbacks in 9.2 miles)!! Then a couple of ride in the Little Belts of MT and hitting the trails of Ketchum / Sun Valley ID. Should be a great time and my Buddy Erik is going as well. Even the helmetcam will be tired after this trip.
