Well - spent last night getting my ROAD bike ready. My MTN bike looked on with jealousy and disdain. I think it may plot to flatten the newly mounted tires - either that or I pinched the tube. The wind was out with some sun for a day or two and thought that the trails may actually get dry enough to have at least a 1/2 day to ride....to no avail - it rained again this afternoon. So the road bike will win out this weekend. The only thing keeping me sane is the planning of a solo trip from Chico to Montana with some trail rides in Oregon - hopefully McKenzie River / Washington - hopefully Mount St. Helens area (if she isn't grumblin') and Montana - Little Belt Mtns - already have some locals lined up for a ride. And possibly on the way back through Las Vegas - see what the outskirts has to offer - I believe Boulder City has some nice singletrack. Pretty sure all the areas have some bike clubs of some sort or at least a local bike shop (LBS) that can point me in the right direction and add some company. The new GPS bike computer - oh yes - the Edge 205 will make sure I stay headed in the right direction - or at least that I can backtrack out of needed. Might be able to entice some riders to let me tag along with the helmet cam as well - should be sweeeeet!
